LIVE Wine Club Event

The Fred is thrilled to present the first “Live” Wine Club Event for the 20/21 Season!

Food and Beverage Manager Scot Newell along with Kimberly Follman, Director of Wine for The Prestige Wine Group, and Chef Faheem Maolud have assembled a Wine and Food Pairing to celebrate the lifting of restrictions for restaurant operations here in the USVI. This will be a "COVID Conscious”  Event.

Q:  What does "COVID Conscious" mean??

A:  This is a seated event that is limited to just 10 tables with seating for up to 4 people per table (40 participants in total) and all tables will be spaced 6'+ apart.  Upon arrival, guests will  be seated at a table with up to three other guests who are all in the same party.  All guests are required to wear a mask upon entering the property. Once you have checked in, you will be escorted to your table where you may remove your mask. The wine and food pairings will be served at the table.  It is requested that guests remain seated throughout the event.  If you do need to get up please be sure to replace your mask before you move about the property.

Jackson Family Wines will be featured for the evening. Chef Faheem has created a food pairing for each of the three wines that you will be tasting. The features are as follows:

COURSE #1:  La Crema Chardonnay will be paired with a Sliced Applewood Smoked Duck Breast – served over Creamy Polenta and topped with a Charred Vidalia Onion and Grilled Peach Relish

COURSE #2:  Carmel Road Pinot Noir will be paired with an Herbed Goat Cheese w./ a Warm Fig & Fruit Compote served on Crostini

COURSE #3:  Edmeades Mendicino Zinfandel is presented with a Smoked Beef Short Rib topped w./ Roasted Tomato Chutney and served with  local microgreens

SPECIAL GUEST:  Fernando Arteaga, Jackson Family Wines Sales Director for Latin America and The Caribbean will be joining us LIVE via  the magic of Skype to co-host the tasting and speak on the wine selections for the evening.
